Leon Osman has set himself a ten-goal target this season. Ossie netted against Derby at the weekend to bring his season’s tally to seven. And with five games to go, the Academy graduate is keen on reaching double figures.

“I’m always happy with every goal I score but that one was very nice,” said Osman.

“Can I get to 10? I hope so. I want to score in every game. That’s always the way.”

Osman insisted that even if he did reach 10 goals this season - it would still leave room for improvement.

“If I score three in the next three games, I’d then want to get to 12 and wouldn’t be happy if I missed that target, That’s the way I work. We have played very well this season and scored a few goals. I’m fifth in the charts at the minute and while I feel as if I have had a decent return, I still think I can get a couple more before the end.”
