Lee Carsley wants Everton to become a fixture in Europe. The Toffees have been in Europe for two of the last three seasons and are in a decent position to qualify again.

Whether the Blues play in the Champions League or Uefa Cup remains to be seen, with Carsley insisting that Everton are still eyeing fourth spot.

“That is our ultimate goal; to play in Europe every season, We have got more than half an eye on fourth place, we have got a full eye on it.”

A win over Derby on Sunday will help Everton bolster their position in the upper eschelons of the league table, following three games without victory.

“We have got a good week of training ahead of us and hopefully we can work on a few things and improve. We can’t harp on about the injuries, we have got to worry about the lads who are fit.”
