Despite Everton’s visible downturn in fortunes since cruelly crashing out of the UEFA Cup, all in all, I genuinely believe it has been a good, solid season for the Toffees. If offered at the start of the season, 5th place, Carling Cup Semi-finalists, last 16 of the UEFA Cup, surely, you would assume, most level-headed Evertonians would have accepted such a predicament.
