This season, I think everyone will agree, Goodison Park is losing that magic sparkle that we used to love. Memories or games such as Fiorentina and Man Utd in 2005 come flooding back when I think of Goodison. Even that wonder strike from a young Wayne Rooney, brings shivers down my spine when I remember the crowds celebrations.
The team, this season has not performed, and yes, that could be a reason why we are distinctly lacking an atmosphere at our beloved home, but second half against Man Utd proved that we can and we are different from you’re general run of the mill football fans. But people, I urge you to turn up in numbers wherever possible, if the funds are available. The attendance of 31,000 against Fulham was our lowest since Moyes took over as manager 6 years ago.
Something needs to change, or our once world famous atmosphere, is slowly going to disappear to the corporate atmosphere you get at most Premier League teams nowadays.
Please Bill, let’s lower the prices, fill the stadium, and lets get Goodison shaking in its foundations.
